"Good"
Location was a PLUS! Breakfasts were Guy Fieri proud for presentation, but also were very tasty. None were repeats in my 3 day stay. Heating was excellent for the cold nights & hot water was never lukewarm. Tub in room was ideal for romance. Room key opens both room and front door of house; so not sure how that works with other guest rooms/key-wise. Fruit, yogurt, some canned drinks were available 24/7 and water in a pitcher was available during the day. Within 1 block of main drag with restaurants and shops. Apparently, dog-friendly!!

Beautiful home and grounds to enjoy. Rooms either have garden or courtyard view. Lots of places to sit and relax both inside and outside on the property. Lots of extras like books, games, DVDs, ect. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Snacks, coffee, tea and breakfast included.

Beautiful grounds. The best property in town. Excellent location to walk and explore Ferndale. Exceptional service, the breakfast and coffee and cookies were a delight. The pet friends room and access to the gardens was perfect

Ambience, cleanliness, location (Ferndale is beautiful). Shaw House Inn has preserved its character well. Paula also provides lots of books and local information if you need it.

It was a very quaint little B & B, we had a claw foot tub in our room, so that was interesting. but made it work. If we could have had a window that opened for fresh air that would have been alright. Other than that, was a very comfortable and cute place to stay. Breakfast was delicious!

The setting is very pretty, the bed was comfortable and it is within walking distance to the restaurants and shops. Its very quiet and we liked listening to the birds. Breakfast was good with quiche and sausage one morning as well as fruit cups, muffins and egg crepe a second morning. The bath towels are thick, not like those flimsy towels you see in many hotels.

Ferndale is a fascinating little town filled with Victorian jewels like the Shaw house. It's a little quirkey but fun. Excellent breakfast. We enjoyed our stay.

Basically everything, we were greeted by the owner who showed us around, we didn't really see her again, which was ok for us and as we were the only guests there (another couple came in very late) we had the place to ourselves. We loved sitting outside, having a drink, then moved to the parlour. The grounds were lovely, the house is 130 years old and the decor reflected that, but we loved that. Breakfast was good, Nicole the cook was lovely, it's not a typical breakfast, we had bacon, sausages and an apple pancake. We had a quiet night's sleep in a comfortable bed. The town was lovely and had several options for dinner.

Historic, authentic. Staff was very helpful. Property Cat was polite and cordial, visits all guests in their room. Like stepping back in time to late 1800's.

Timeshift to the victorian. Very nice and quiet place. The breakfast was incredible. Sitting in the window place, enjoying the cool ambiance while a deer is walking through the garden. We loved it!

It was good but a bit late as I had to be in Eureka by 8:45. There was a fold up ladder for fire escape but If I had to use it I couldn't open the window. I would have to break it somehow which would have been very dangerous.
